Microhub of Life

Sanne Stienstra, Sam Lansdaal, Lars Maarleveld

Microhub of Life uses discarded cardboard waste combined with eggshells and starch to create biodegradable garden planters. As microorganisms feed on the pots, cardboard waste is effectively broken down in an eco-friendly way.

Shroomextiles

Lindsay Azzopardi, Anne te Kulve, Nick Vriend

Shroomextiles repurposes textile waste and transforms it into a strong, durable, and biodegradable material. The textiles are shredded and inoculated with reishi mushroom, which grows into a leather-like material.

Wasted

Isa-Jane Ensing, Josefien Matla, Denise Mori

This project utilizes natural dying techniques to repurpose unsellable hotel bedsheets. Dyes were derived from coffe skins, orange peels, onion skins, and Janthinobacterium lividum.
