As of 2026, we are thrust into the age of mainstream conversational and generative AI, transforming and threatening our relationship with reality, nature, and truth. Instead of tools assisting us, they now speak for us, comfort us, and think for us. Lepi is a counter-device to the invasion of AI into our physical world and its potential to erode social connections. This project is a response to this phenomenon that we have noticed; it includes a video, two paintings, and a microbe device with interactions in the form of tactile, sensory advice instead of robotic instructions or artificial intimacy.
