Spores and Spirits: Healing Space Design is a low-carbon architectural proposal located in the Honghe Hani Rice Terraces in Yunnan, China. Inspired by the Hani “Mushroom House” tradition, it uses mycelium-based biomaterials and agricultural waste from the terraces to create a circular, zero-waste building system. The structure integrates with the landscape while meeting strict heritage protections. By merging vernacular wisdom with contemporary sustainable design, it fosters ecological harmony, spiritual connection, and a regenerative relationship between people and nature.
